Crowns, Veneers and Bridges

Crowns

Dental crowns are used to restore and protect heavily broken down teeth. They are also often advised after a tooth has had root canal treatment.

They cover the entire tooth to replicate the original tooth as and can be used to change the shape or disguise discoloured teeth. Crowns can be made from gold, ceramic and porcelain.

Your Glen Lea Dental Suite dentist will discuss and advise you on the options available.

Veneers

A Veneer is a thin layer of porcelain used to cover the front of a tooth, rather than covering the whole tooth like a crown.

Veneers are extremely thin but once bonded to the tooth are very strong, and can be used to create a whiter smile that looks natural and beautiful.

Composite veneers (bonding) is another way of achieving this with minimal to no damage to the tooth.

Bridges

A bridge is used to restore a gap between teeth, and is supported by the remaining teeth. Just like with crowns, they can be made from a variety of materials.

Your Glen Lea Dental Suite dentist will discuss the options suitable for you.
